Comfy Clothes

Those who know me would agree that I love clothes, and cute comfy clothes are even better.  Since I work from my home office I migrate between my pj's and workout clothes, depending on the season I might just wear sweats all day long (I know).   I just stumbled upon a designer I totally dig Yvette Mandell.  She has mastered adorable lounge or in my case work wear :)

Shorts are made by H&M, and I just bought them, super cozy and I love the color combo.

Here are some of my favorites found on etsy!

I love the shape of this top and the flowers are just a perfect addition.  Made by Stadkind Potsdam in Germany.

These are both so funky and they look super comfy.  Made by db.

I love this strawberry top made by Smarmy Clothes.  This chick has skills!!!

What do you like to lounge in?

More of my animals

I thought I should post pictures of the kitten weekly so we can all see how fast Ash grows.  She is such a love and handful all at once.  Peetee (my dog) is fine with her but Zoe (our kitty) is pretty pissed.  She stayed outside everyday last week until dark, Chris finally had to go out and get her.  She will come around it will just take time.  I love having Ash's energy in the house, she has more of it than me.

Angry Zoe.

This one's for you Sarah, all three animals in one picture.

Never a dull moment!

Stepping stones

Most of my family lives in San Diego.  My sister and mom are coming up in August for a few days and I have already been planning what I want us to do.  One project I have in the works is making stepping stones with them.  I want them to each make one so I can put them in the garden and be reminded of our time spent together.  I swear I'm getting more sentimental as time goes on.  I decided to do a trial run and was surprised at how easy it was.

First you need supplies.  I bought all of this stuff at Michaels.  The stones were on sale for $2 a bag and the cement was $6, the mold another 2 bucks.

That's a glass of cold brew and it's my second glass today :)

I like how it turned out.  Now it has to sit for 48 hours.  Please don't crack.  What do you like to do when the weather gets warm?

My new Nike gladiators testing out my stepping stone. These shoes were meant for me!

I also made a cute flower for my hair.

Maui and Mermaids on my mind

In September Chris and I are going to Maui for a week.  It will be his first time and my fourth.  I love it there.  It's one of the few places I can go and totally relax.  The ocean breeze, clear blue waters full of creatures, and abundance of yummy fish and fruit make it an all around paradise for me.  Growing up in San Diego CA I always thought we had the best beaches~ not even close.

All of these things remind me I'll be in Maui in a few months :) Ah.

Made by Mademoiselle Mermaid She really has some lovely dresses.

These are so beautiful and I love the colors.  These are made by Riri Creations.

Painting done by one of my favorite artists William Waterhouse, this adorable bohemian bag made by Baba Studio.

Wire wrapping is so dainty and looks like it takes so much time and patience.  I love this seahorse by Palmera.

I have a real soft spot when it comes to Mermaids, especially ones with red hair, maybe I was one in another life, wouldn't that be nice :)  This is an original painting by A Wing and A Prayer.  I want it it!

One of my favorite artists on Etsy is Pinky Toast and I love her mermaid!

Mermaid scale stilettos!!! Made by  Taylor Says, I could never walk in them but I like!!!

Could someone please make me a grown up size dress of my favorite mermaid Ariel.  Rosey Threads has a ton of cute dresses but none that would fit me :(

Adorable switchplate made by Mermaid in Cali.

I love these one of a kind faeries made by Dark Faerie Creations.  This is her first mermaid!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!  I'll be busy with kitty.

Meet Ash

I am an animal lover.  I have a lil mutt named Peeteee and a big Siamese kitty named Zoe and the newest edition is a lil kitty named Ash.  The name Ash seemed perfect for many reasons, first she is the color of ash, I love Ash the character from the Evil Dead movies, and it describes the color of the sky this whole year...ash gloomy gray.  As I type this, she is purring in my lap and Peetee is at my feet in his bed.   Life is good.

Super happy she already gets this part!
