My very own Matryoshka doll

Recently a sweet friend of mine Kathi and her beautiful daughter Brianna when to Russia.  You can read about the trip here (she also went to Istanbul) and has some lovely photos and stories posted.  They asked if I wanted anything and I said a Matryoshka doll, they got me one and she is so amazing!

The story is a winter tale and the one I made up is FABULOUS!  Aren't they pretty?  Do any of you have one?

I was wondering if you were going to put these up. And, yes, I think your version of the story is much more exciting than the Russian fairy tale. Whatever that may be.

I have one! But not anywhere as pretty as yours... I bought mine in Prague as I've never been to Russia - must post a pic sometime, when I can figure out how to work it into a post :-)

PS My previous comment had too many spelling mistakes!

They are lovely, aren't they? I don't have one myself, but I bought one each for my girls from a Russian stall when Sheffield had its international street market. You can get so many beautiful designs.
The painting on yours is gorgeous. xxxxx

Very pretty indeed! I've got an Elvis one that I scored from a bric-a-brac bin a while back. I'm yet to find a proper one. x

They are soooo pretty! I've never seen a blonde girl or a wintery scene Matryoshka set before. It's usually ladies in head scarves.
I did have a set of cat-faced ones years ago but they weren't half as fabulous as yours.
You've got some amazing stuff, I'd love to come round yours and play with everything!!!

WOW! that set is beautiful! I love how detailed they are!

I think Matryoshka Dolls are so adorable. I have looked for sets on eBay many times but as Vix says they all look mostly the same.

I have seen plained wooden nesting doll sets, ones that you can paint yourself. I think that would be so much fun. I may try it out myself! xxx

Cute set, very different! re; wearing a cape, I don't know where they're supposed to fall to, but i don't think it matters really, a true OSFA garment!
