Sunshine and Tiaras

It's been so gloomy lately but when sun pokes out even for a minute you want to bathe naked in it. See. We all worship the sun in this family...

and occasionally I'm inspired to make a Tiara!

The daisy pin was  Grandma Barbara's.
Chris thought I looked like a flower child.
Here's some more of what I made this weekend.

I also made a version in blue and purple to go with this Bismuth crystal from Germany.  It was also Grandma Barbara's and she had it wrapped but never put it on a necklace.  I think she would dig what I did to it.

I also picked up this necklace a few weeks back at Forever 21.  I love it!  I think it was $8.

and this super gorgeous ultra sparkly bracelet.
I made this necklace for my BFF.
It feels good to make stuff for other people. What do you like to make for others?

Your jewellery is fabulous, Krista! Incorporating old pieces into your own style is a great idea, that crystal of Grandma Barbara's is wonderful. And Chris is right, you do look like a cool hippy chick about to pop a flower down the barrel of a rifle! Vix will LOVE that hairband!
PS. How adorable do Ash and Peetee look?! xxxxxx

Aah that cat!

You're very talented with the jewellery making, it all looks like it could be sold in a shop, easily. I love that you gave your Grandma's things a new lease of life. That orange and pink rope necklace is fab too.

Right now, all I make for others is breakfast, lunch and dinner. In return, they make a mess. Sigh.

Those are fabulous makes, you're very talented. I love making things for other people, nothing specific in particular but just what I think the person will like. I've made dresses for mum and for my friend. It's always nice to see other people enjoying your makes. xx
