Beautiful disgust

Let's get right to it shall we.  The gum wall was bright beautiful, smelly, alive with color and germs. I loved it as much as I thought I would.
Am I really licking it? You will never know.

I loved the gum running down the window seal.

It smelled in the heat of the sun.

Apparently it's a great way to advertise.
Have you had enough?  Just a few more then.

They also had some cool graffiti.
 I'm thinking "People of Walmart"
Upstairs was the famous Pikes Place market.  It was packed since it was also Earth day.
I could eat fish everyday if it was this fresh!
The flowers and produce were gorgeous!
The street performers were out in full force, she was my favorite.

She had the prettiest blue eyes!
We even found that troll under a bridge.
He has a hub cap for an eye and in his hand is a VW bug.
Of course we had to poke his eye and pick his nose :)
Everyone enjoyed the day even the troll.
I can't wait to go back and check out some of the thrift stores, they were everywhere!

What a weird and wonderful post - I'm pretty speechless!
You sure had some visual stimulation last week, everything makes me want to go and check these places out for myself.

I'm guessing you DIDN'T lick that wall?

I'm sorry to say I think it's a bit gross! Is that being rude about a much-loved tourist attraction? I'm sorry!
But I LOVE the market and the street performer and the troll! And you! xxxxxxxxxx

Wow, that looks like a cool place. That gum wall is gross though lol. Like you, I could easily eat all of that fish if it was that fresh every day, if I lived near the sea I'd live on fish. xx

The gum place is fascinating and disgusting at the same time... the germophobe in me is yelling: "Please tell me you didn't lick that wall!"
Very unusual place...

Can you believe I haven't been to Pike's Place Market since I've moved here. I need to remedy that, stat. I love Fremont and need to make a visit there soon, too.

There is so much for me to explore here in Seattle, I'm looking forward to it- and meeting you whether here or in your stomping grounds, Portlandia! xo. -Bella Q

Oh god! I don't know whether to be amazed of disgusted! I bet it did smell kinda sickly! The troll under the bridge is awesome - I really wanna see that film 'Troll Hunter' and your bridge troll really reminds me of it!

Love the pretty bronze statue person - I've had bad like with statue people - once when Pyf and I were in York I stood next to a white statue man on horse holding a bucket of paint and a paint brush to have my picture taken but when I was posing he put the paint brush on my head and I screamed because I thought it was wet paint! People were staring and it wasn't good..

Poor crabbies all tied up and ready to eat :( xxx

Oh my god - how mental is the gum wall? It's gross but kind of brilliant - and I bet they don't have a problem with it on the pavements there! I see someone took advantage of it to ask Crystal to prom - whoever said romance is dead?
