Blue skies and butterflies

The blue skies are back and to honor that I broke out a blue dress and flowers for my hair.  Totally appropriate right :)
This was another $5 dress I scored this spring.  Dresses are so easy and make me want to burn all my blue jeans.
My hair is getting so long but it still only takes 3 minutes to roll it all up into 12 curlers and WA....LA!  Instant glamour baby!
Now I have some interesting news to share.  Remember my questions about self image that you were all kind enough to anwser?  Well, my friend who is a High School teacher here in Oregon will be giving them to her female students today.  I'm so excited and can't wait to read their responses.  I still don't know where all of this is going but I hope to eventually figure out a way to help girls see beauty differently, and respect and love each other (you know kinda like how we do).
The book I mentioned last week, A General Theory of Love, has given me some much needed insight into my most favorite thing in the world, LOVE.  Love has the power to heal, to bond us to each other and it is what makes us feel our best or when deprived of it our worst.  LOVE is what keeps us alive!

Love seeketh not itself to please,
Nor for itself hath any care,
But for another gives its ease,
And builds a Heaven in Hell's despair.
- William Blake, Songs of Experience

Oh wow!!!!! I'm really happy that the answers will be mulled over my young people - I feel flattered! Your hair is the most incredible mane I have ever seen in my life!!! You neeeeeeeed to be in the movies, like Gilda when she's in her negligee brushing her hair upside down and whips her head up and glory hallelujah the hair! But your movie would be in glorious tecnicolour and the audience would gasp and cry in wonder at you!!!!! xxxxxxxxxx

What a lovely verse from Blake. I'd say trust your instincts with asking these questions...and the reason why you are doing it will present itself soon. Kinda envious that you get to meet Helga in the flesh.

Aaah, William Blake LOVE!
I think it's wonderful that you're thinking of young girls. There's something in that that's very powerful. You must have something great to offer them, and they inspire something in you.
You look full of joy here!

Oh you look simply so very pretty in that cute blue dress.
I love your curls, I wish mine would hold curls. I have just a half hour of curls and prettiness, and then all gone.
That is great news on the questions, should be so interesting from a teens point of view.
Sending two hands of love to you.

You look superb in that blue. The image at the end with the Blake verse is simply wonderful too.

YAY! More blue, just love it, completely stunning.

I saw a card today and thought of you, so many things make me think of you when I'm out shopping. The card had a Maya Angelou quote:
"Be a rainbow in someone else's cloud"

That's you!

Beautiful dress and wonderfully bouncy hair. I hope that we can start changing our view on beauty and start sending body positive messages into the world so that the next generation of young girls won't be so overwhelmed by the media and other types of ludicrous criticism. Glad there are others working on it too, we can't work fast and hard enough! :-)

How great that your friend is using your questions to get her students thinking about self-image and self-esteem. I'm sure there will be some really interesting responses, you'll have to let us know how it goes.

You're the most bouncy colourful person! I love the dress, I'm really bored of jeans, I used to live in them but now I have 1001 dresses to wear instead! I will I could get my hair to do what yours does!

And good luck with the surveys, who knows where it'll all read!
