Strawberry Shortcake

Yesterday as I sat in my office working I heard the most awful sound coming from my bedroom.  To my horror I found that my closet filled with clothes had buckled under the pressure.  Those maxi dresses are heavy. I pulled all my clothes out and stacked them on the bed and began hammering and cursing.  I managed to get it back up but for how long I do not know.   I got 99 problems and Mitt ain't one :)
I know your thinking what is she doing to poor lil Ash. No harm came to her I assure you, maybe a lil slobber.  My mother in law is always teasing me because I'm a "ginger" you know a redhead and sometimes she sends me the funniest pictures. After she sent me the one below I had Chris take the picture of me eating Ash as my reply.  I have a really cool family huh:)
I know I know but I'm a ginger and I have no soul.
And being a redhead and loving all other redheads, except maybe Carrot top that dude doesn't look human anymore.  How I could resist this sweet handmade Strawberry Shortcake dress?  It was just my size and only $3.
I think it was a sheet before.

Have you ever noticed my lazy eye?
  Or my hairy arms?
Or that I am a natural redhead?  Here are a few of my favorite redhead jokes.

Every man should love a redhead once in his life...Twice if he survives!

Redheads don't play hide-and-seek. They play "hide-and-pray-I-don't-find-you."

The only time a redhead was wrong was when she thought she had made a mistake.

Redheads don't sleep...they wait.

If paper beats rock, rock beats scissors, and scissors beats paper, what beats all 3?
A redhead.

Good girls say thanks for dinner. Redheads say "What's for breakfast?"

Ha ha ha ha im still chuckling at the jokes the last one whats for breakfast made me laugh out loud ;-) I would never have guessed you were a red head. I to have hairy arms not that i shout it from the roof tops i hasten to add. And no im never wrong only right ;-) I remember reading somewhere when i was little that Red heads are the forgotten beauty's when ever i was teased about my hair this was like a little mantra i kept telling myself. Now i love my red hair and im very proud to be different. God look at me going on. Love your dress its so sweet and you look gorgeous. dee xx

I dyed my hair auburn for years and years, my ginger friend could never understand it! Love those jokes, but always thought you were a natural cerise.

Lazy eye? Hairy arms? No! Tell you what I did notice...tiny waist, naughty grin, HUGE boobies, best hair in blogland, awesome clothes, clean and co-ordinated shoes, cutest dog in the world...list goes on and on.

Yu were my first thought when I checked the lection result - I may have a Gin and Tonic with lemon and lime to celebrate tonight. Only drink without sugar (I'm dieting again! Zumba DVD had been copied by a friend).

Brilliant strawberry shortcake dress - hope you smell fruity!

My co-worker told me last week, "I have a thing for red heads, but I just don't get them." Then we tried to think of attractive red head celebrities and couldn't think of one. I only came up with Nicole Kidman - blech!

That being said, we have a family full of red heads and we love them! And, of course, our favorite red headed friend too!

That dress is super cute and as always you rock it so well. And who gives a toss about your hair being red, it adds another colour dimension to your already techinicolour personality xxxx

As a naturally (pre grey hair) reddish head I'm DYING at the redhead jokes!!
How could i notice anyhting but how FABULOUS you always look???

Miss Kae says she hopes Peetee like blondes. She does disagree with Peetee being the cutest dog on the internet. Cutest BOY dog maybe but everyone needs to give props to the cutest clothes-wearing diva chihuahua in the UNIVERSE!! Or else beware getting her stink-eye!

You know what you gotta do? Send me all those pesky frocks, I'll start with today's please!!
Love you eating poor Ash alive, it's hilarious! You look about 12 years old.
Get off with your hairy arms and lazy eye. We're all about positivity on your blog, you're bloody gorgeous, so shut up, ginger!
Love you, you blinking nutter!

I didn't realise there was such a thing about being ginger! I do love, love, love your frock! How does something so glorious end up in a thrift store? Also I often fear my wardrobe may collapse!

This morning I dyed my hair bright red, so this is the perfect post to celebrate my new hair color!!!
I'm a devilish ginger now!
I love a lot of fake and real redheads: Ziggy Stardust, Karen Elson, Tori Amos and Strawberry Shortcake is one of my favourite!!
That dress is awesome like you in all your pink and red glory! The first photo is so cute I could die!!
Have you ever watched South Park's episode about redheads, I'm sure that you and your mother in law are going to love it!
Love you more than kids eating cats!!

I love that photo of you eating Ash! Sweet dress, it suits you perfectly. And is that a Sassy Vamps headband? I see Edie Pop has called up Ziggy Stardust - excellent!

I'm so happy today. I woke up to sunshine and Obama. I'm just off to have a glass of something bubbly!

Great post and you look gorgeous in Strawberry Shortcake dress. I have always wanted to be a red head rather than dark brown, hence all the dye over the years. I love both the photos of you with your cats - so cute. One of my greatest fears is wardrobe collapse.... :-)

You look like delicious shortcake, and no,I hadn't noticed anything except that you're a natural ginga, as we say! In Aus they say ranga ( referring to oRANGe).I'm a faux ginga, had you noticed that?!
Ha, my coat rack toppled onto me last weekend.I've sort of propped it up, but G's gonna have to sort it out permanent like!
You're a Strawberry Star!
Loads LOVE!

I'm another who faked the ginge for years - redheads are great and I loved the jokes! If you haven't seen it - you MUST google 'Prejudice' by Tim Minchin on YouTube, he's my fave ging man and the song is genius!

Glad to hear you weren't crushed beneath the weight of your wardrobe!

Obviously you know my boyfriend is a ginger and therefore has no soul, so he keeps telling me. I'm classed by Cartman as a day walker, that episode of South Park is hilarious. I'll send you a photo of my true hair colour at some point!
I don't think you're got hairy arms (hirsuitism I type it in as this at work!) and I had no idea about the lazy eye (I type this is as convergent squint) - although I think it makes an appearance in that photo of you, Lucy and me. Who cares! You're stunning my darling and you look so precious in your Strawberry Shortcake dress - that is just the coolest thing. That photo of you eating Ash is just so hilarious, even more than the girl eating the kitten, which is also bloody funny.

I love the ginger jokes but had to draw the line at the freakishly aggressive facebook event "kick a ginger day" - not cool.

Now that's a REAL wardrobe malfunction, never mind Janet Jackson and her nipple moment! I managed to pull part of the picture rail off the wall in the bedroom by hanging lots of clothes on it. Well where else could they go, the wardrobe was full?!
Gorgeous cute frock for our own favourite Badass Strawberry Shortcake! That photo of the baby with the kitten in her mouth makes me shudder, poor kitty! Ash isn't happy about you having her for breakfast either! Naughty Krista!
I did think you were a natural pinkie, but I guess not... Pink and red, the perfect combination. Lazy eye, hairy arms? Nah, can't see them, just your sassy loveliness!
PS. Great result in the election. xxxx

Well, being of a reddish hue myself (somewhat chemically assisted *ahem*) and having married a 'used to be' ginge, we were always going to have at least one red haired offspring (JB1) and JB2 has an auburn tint in the right light, so we're a tribe of redheads! Cute dress and no, I hadn't noticed the hairy arms or lazy eye that you speak of. If it's any comfort, I sprout a winter coat a shetland pony would be proud of at this time of year!
Thought of you guys this morning when we heard the election result - let's hope there'll be real changes for the better!

Wow, why would you resist that dress for $3? How could anyone!? It's amazing. I have never noticed your lazy eye. I am a red head but a fake one I'm afraid. Would you ever consider dying yours all over pink? That picture of the toddler eating the cat is so cute as is this fab dress! xxx

Oh my freaking god.

I'm kind of freaking out because this outfit is SO AMAZING!! Your dress is adorable, your hair is FABULOUS, and your bracelets are so cute. Seriously, can I be you?!? :)

PS. The pic of you eating the kitty is priceless. Lol.

You little carnivore! LOL. Your photos always make me happy. I love your redhead sayings; they are so much more empowering than what they say about blondes. Yay blue!

Hahaha poor little Ash! I do the same thing to Bella, only over her ears! I can't help it! She's just so soft I want to ear her!

That dress is just tooooo freaking cute! All the frills and strawberries just make me 'AWWWWWWW!' I love the bright red tights you have teamed it with!

Red-heads are people too! HAHA! ~♥~

ok the close up of Ms. Shortcake's print was a tad frightening, then the next photo......holy cow, how can such a twee print look so f'ing awesome? It turned into the prettiest dress. About the closet malfunction, same thing happened in my coat closet. I replaced the wussy bar with a stronger one.

Tomorrow my redhair will be bright. Some are born that way and some of us chose to go back to the way we were born. Don't hate us because we're awesome.

PS: our Obama/Biden yard sign didn't get stole like in 2008

Hahaha those redhead jokes are awesome :-D Your cat is the cutest, I do strange things to my cats too but they're kind of used to it by now. I kiss them and make horribly annoying noises while doing so. They always look a little frazzled but they don't mind too much. Cats are the best! That strawberry dress is too adorable for words. And my old closet used to do that all the time. After having to hang up all my clothes over and over again I gave up and bought a new, sturdier closet with more hanging space. It's probably a good idea to do that. :-D

The first photo is a wonderful reply! Love the collar on the shortcake dress.

I come from a long line of gingers (my mother is one) and was disappointed when NONE of my daughters or grandchildren got the red curls. :(
