Beauty from a can

If I were a city my streets would be filled with color.
So bold would their beauty be that I would almost want to live outside.
The scale is mind blowing!
Can you imagine coming home to this everyday?  I CAN!
 What is she thinking?

Thanks to all those graffiti artists out there that take the ugly right out of life and make our world a little more livable.

Amazing street art, Krista. The grafitti round here is nowhere near as skilled and creative, I'm afraid... xxx

I'm a big fan of graffiti art. The one of the woman (above the one of the boobs) is brilliant. The best graffiti art I've seen is in Berlin. There's masses of it and there's a section of the wall still standing which has the most amazing artwork. xx

I love graffiti art. We even paid a guy to come and cover a wall downstairs with his graffiti. Added a red light bulb and we created the best indoor hallway EVER! Now I just love walking to the bathroom at night. ha!
I was just thinking today while on the freeway that I wish we could just leave the art alone instead of chasing it around the city painting a nasty beige over it. Let it go I say! Well, unless there is profanity in it. But you know, when do we see bad words in this stuff? I never do. I wouldn't even mind that for myself, it's our innocent children I'm thinking of. haha!

Amazing!!Some of this works are mind blowing!!The first one is wonderful!!I think that now many painters work as street artists and I really apprecciate the message they are giving,a positive way of sharing beauty with all the people that really need it!
I discovered a brilliant artist that like Mr Brainwash started his career as a graffiti artist: Banksy, he's really ironic and iconoclast too, you might enjoy his works!
Love you more than paint!!

Love these-so fun and colorful! I could totally see you living in that building!

I've always wished we could dedicate certain places to let artists do whatever they wanted. I too hate tagging, reminds me of a dog claiming their territory.;) I've noticed that murals or major graffiti works are a great way to prevent tagging as there seems to be honor between artists and they wont tag over them.

And Joni, how cool are you-such a great idea for your hall!:)

Also agree with Eddie Pop, that Banksy is truly master, and my favorite because he uses his talent to comment on social issues with such cleverness.
