Goodbye Sweetheart

Most of these pictures are from last weekend when the sun still struggled to get out.  Today is gorgeous, so gorgeous that it makes me want to call in sick and play outside all day long!  Sometimes working from home is just too tempting.  This week will mark the last week I have my assistant for the rest of the year as she goes on maternity leave.  She is my right hand and I will miss her dearly!
I would not be as successful as I am without her.  Mary Ann I'm going to miss you something awful, now go on and have that baby boy!
I have no idea what is going on here. I'm sporting a new pair of KMK leggings, these are covered in dragons!
We took my Dad out for a Birthday brunch at the Crescent Cafe.
My Dad lives about an hour from us out in the sticks.
My sweet blue ride and Chris :)
My Dad said that as he gets older he cares less about himself and I can see it in his appearance:(
Just because we grow old doesn't mean we have to stop growing or caring.  Sometimes I think he is everything I don't ever want to be.

You and your Dad are polar opposites! What a shame some people lose interest in their appearance as they get older but there's nothing we can do to persuade them otherwise.
You look incredible, so beautiful in that sexy maxi with gorgeous Mary Ann and as hot as can be with the triangle top and amazing KMK leggings.
Good to see those sexy wheels and Chris. That street looks so American (and I sound such a saddo!)
Love you! xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I suppose it can be a liberating thing, not to care about appearances any more. And I wonder whether it is easier for men to give up on it all, they maybe have less invested in it than women. That said, I don't want it to happen to me, I have too much fun playing dressing up to want it to end!

You obviously have fun too, Krista, dressing up in that gorgeous maxi (good luck to Mary Ann for the birth and after!) and wearing more groovy leggings from Cristi. Loving the paisley top, and WOW, that flying hair shot is awesome!
Don't you dare stop rocking all that fabulous colour! xxxxxx

Meeting up with your Dad and enjoying that scrumptious-looking lunch would have made his day a better one. How could he possibly not have a wee skip of joy in his heart at the sight of his beautiful, glorious daughter who brings joy to so many people. Those flashing eyes, that incredible hair and the beautiful smile always fill me with hope. Big hugs to you gorgeous!! xoxoxoxoxo

You should see my Dad! Same old stained holey stuff all the time! But at least you can agree on brunch, that looks delicious. Fancy coming over for a picnic whilst the weather is still lovely? Your new leggings are mad - I really like them! The pattern is a bit Escher-esque. Look at all that gorgeous hair too! xxxxx

That's what dad's are for!!You should see mine when he lets his hair grow and won't have it cut! He thinks it's distinguished like Inspector Morse...drives my mum mad.
You look a picture of happiness and look at all that glorious hair. Love the new leggings too.

I;m sorry to hear about your dad. My dad seems to care more as he gets older. He ever purchased designer fcuk glasses. Weird.
I can't wait to meet Mary Ann's boy. I bet your going to miss her a bunch. I love the hair flicking photo as well. Very rock and roll.

How sweet to have lunch with your Dad. My Dad passed away a couple of years ago, sadly we weren't very close. The last time we talked he told me how proud he was of me and that he loved me. Keep your Dad in our life.

All the best to your assistant with her we baby, one of my workmates went on maternity leave about 2 weeks ago & I miss her terribly :( You look great and sorry to hear about your Dad's attitude - I guess a lot of people get like that as they get older. It is a little sad.

I love the first pic of you in that halter top maxi with Mary Ann!! Oh man, dads... Hopefully that food made him happy. I miss mine more than I ever thought possible.
Everyone's different. I know my husband only seems to get more and more conceited with age. My BFF from Belize says this is common with Caribbean men. When I confront him on it he's like, "What's not to love?"
Seriously. Then he'll half-heartedly say he's JK as he primps and styles in any mirror he can catch a glimpse of himself in...

I had to laugh at your final sentence! I agree with Vix, you and your dad are absolute opposites, but I'm glad you had a great birthday lunch together.

Life is a struggle, sometimes it's easier to give up and live a quiet life than keep on fighting. I have mixed feelings about it,I can understand that at a certain age this would set you free and it could be amazing, but I'm the first one to believe that despite all our life is a challenge and we all have to constantly reinvent ourselves. But I admire your dad for his decision, I wish he's happy and relaxed and that he's enjoying his life.
It's true that sometimes we are our parents opposite!!!Your energy is palpable!!!!I'm in love with your outfit, the checked jacket and the dragon leggings are my favourites!!!
I love you more than coloured balloons!!!!xxxxxxx

I LOVE those new leggings--so so cool!!
you definitely are a rainbow of Joy--I love your bright happy hair swirling self!!

Love your car--I drive a wee navy neon myself!

My Dad went through something similar--he was depressed (he had significant health issues for years) The docs gave him some anti-depressants and it helped a lot. I miss him so....

Hugs!!!

That seems to be the way with older men, at least the ones around here. They stop caring about how they look (or perhaps they never did?) and shlep about in oversize sweatshirts (or too small ones) and baggy pants. The maxi you're wearing in the photo with your assistant is incredible!
I like the "here be dragons" tights too.

I love coming over here and getting my color fix I just love how your life is so vibrant, Ha I really need a redo on my fashion style I can't seem to find a happy medium and if I get dressed nice then I don't want to go near the animals that are always covered in dirt!! You look gorgeous~Love Heather

It's lovely that you took your Dad out to lunch, but also heartrending when you see people giving up on themselves or not having the life you wish for them.

That photo of your and assistant is lovely, she looks as colourful as you! How fantastic to have an assistant, I haven't figured out what you do - are you responsible for those amazing leggings? xxx
