"Fashion designers are dictators of taste"

My favorite day of the week is finally here.  What have you got planned this weekend?  Do tell.  I had the entire yard weeded this week so tomorrow I am off to the nursery to buy some plants.  I can't wait to be dirty all day and outside with my critters!
Here is a dress I found last year for $2.  No fancy brand just a sweet lil dress made in India.
These glasses were part of a vintage lot of sunnies I bought.
These are going to be my go to boots this summer I just know it!

and since you all think Peetee is so darn cute, here he is:)
I finished a book this morning called Fashion Babylon by Imogen Edwards-Jones.  It was pretty awesome.
I think any gal interested in fashion would enjoy this insiders look into a world that honestly turned my stomach, but hey, it was a pretty entertaining read.  Have a lovely weekend wherever you are and whatever you do!

"It’s a new era in fashion - there are no rules. It’s all about the individual and personal style, wearing high-end, low-end, classic labels, and up-and-coming designers all together."
— Alexander McQueen

Sunshine and playing with the pets sounds like a fantastic plan for the weekend. That dress is an other beauty, loving the crazy ass glasses and those boots and Peetee's cute face.
That book was a great read, wasn't it?
I'm off to drink beer in The Black Country Arms and spill curry down myself.
Have a fab weekend. Love you! xxxx

I love a simple Indian cotton dress, and that one has the loveliest print and colours. Petee IS cute, no getting away from it!

We spent the weekend a couple of weeks ago almost entirely it the garden and it was fantastic. You feel so well at the end of it, satisfied but tired and the results are always uplifting when there are plants involved. I always just want to twitch my nose like the lady in Bewitched and have instant colour! :) Enjoy! xxx

Beautiful frock on a beautiful gal!
I've got that book on my Amazon wishlist so I'll give it a go now. I love costume more than modern fashions but it does fascinate me.
I love McQueen...what a talent.
I'm having the weekend in the garden, a bit of sewing, some painting and I've got a blog post to write!
Have a good one.

Great summer dress! You look gorgeous and I LOVE the boots! It gets a tad too hot here for real boots in the summer, but I am going to make do with my open-toe cut-out boots to try to achieve a somewhat similar look.
That book looks interesting... Might have to check it out if I can remember! lolzzz

Lovely print on you dress. Have a fab weekend in the garden, we need to do the same with re-establishing our vegetable garden.

The book sounds interesting but I really should finish everything else on my bedside table.

A simple pretty frock, great sunglasses and boots, what more does a gal need for a fabulous outfit?!
It will be lovely to spend some time outside and sorting out some colourful planting for your garden. I'm sure the critters will be most helpful... Yeah, right! Peetee, awwwwww, cute boy!
Have a delicious weekend, darling! xxxx

oooo weee! Wearing suede fringe boots in summer in Texas would be like having your feet and ankles in little saunas all day!

I enjoyed Fashion Babylon too - what about the catwalk model that was a bit tied up yet made it to the show in a whisker!!!?!!! oooooooh I can't wait to see the results of your planting, I always think gardening is so much more fun when there are furry friends to scamper about and "help". Two bucks for that glorious cotton frock? Bargain!! xoxoxoox

This weekend I'm hoping to clean and craft... wanna make my Etsy shop look even better with better photos... although I do need to get out into this awesome weather. Krista... you mentioned you liked my t-shirt (Bat Penny) https://www.etsy.com/listing/150196074/bat-penny-white-t-shirt-adult-shirt-s-m?ref=shop_home_active

What other photos in the shop would your fashion eye like to see on a shirt? And also... wouldn't Peetee look adorable on shirt?! :-)

It's a bank holiday weekend here, so I've spent the day painting my nails and shopping, as I have an extra day for chores (Monday) so can relax now!

I would love to see photos of you mucking about in the garden. How lovely it sounds. There is a big-name retailer in town with the slogan "Don't Blend In" in the window, or something like that, and much of the clothing is in neutrals and camouflage! LOL. I love YOUR unique Krista style.

I love Alexander McQueen, he was a true artist and his quote about fashion is one of my favourites! The book sounds very interesting too, I know that Fashion world could be so cruel and not so full of glamour as one imagines, I'm going to order it soon! You and Peetee always make me happy especially with the sunbeams all around! Here is raining and I hope it's going to stop soon!
The colorful dress is lovely and the red sunglasses are wonderful!
Have a great week!
