Find me in paint and patterns

I've had such a nice weekend with the perfect mix of socializing and solitude.  I spent a good long time out in the garden, feeding my flowers, pruning and a pulling.  Being out in the dirt and sunshine makes me feel alive and pretty sore the next day:)  I also did a bit of thrifting and found some things to re fashion.  Heck I got my craft on big time.  I found this mirror for $3 and painted it and then tried to make it look a bit worn.  I'm quite pleased with the results and it brightens up our entryway.
I also made my very first Kawaii phone case.  Not bad for a first try but I plan on making one or two more. When my father in law saw this he said, "Where are the skulls?"  Don't you love it when people get you :)
I never look at framed art when thirfting but when I did I found this fantastic fabric art collage. The back of it says it was done by Joan Dawson of Maldon Essex.  I painted the frame purple.  Thanks Joan, I love it!  Everything about it reminds me of you Clare.
I also found my very first granny square blanket for $3.
I hung out with my sweet friend Cristi of Kiss Me Kitty and 2 of her 5 cats.
Her black cats are so mellow.
I wore my favorite pair of KMK leggings.
I think you need a closer look.
This sugar skull girl is my favorite.

This dog reminds me of several I know.
My latest pair of Chucks found at Ross for $19.
 I heart hearts.
Have you noticed I never apologize when my posts are photo heavy?  I guess I'm just a visual person plus I'm a ginger and I have no soul.
I made this ring and a few others from fabric covered buttons.  See, I was a busy crafting bee and I feel so much happier for it!

What do you do to find a bit of peace?

Ha! You soulless ginger! There's me apologising if I post too many photos, all English and uptight!
What a feast for the eyes, creativity, your beauty, animals, craft, killer leggings, thrifty bargains, an amazing tapestry...it's all too fabulous by far.
Sounds like a wonderful weekend, you deserve it after a week at work.
Love you and lets speak soon! xxxxx

I love when you have tons of photos :) I'm in love with that mirror, it's too cute. Last week I was at veggie grill and the kids who work there are all hipsters. Anyway one of them just got off work and came out holding this old beat up teddy bear to his head. Turns out it was his phone! I thought it was cute. I wonder if he made it.
I have 3 grandma square blankets. They're great for sick days when u just lay on the couch all day.

That mirror is amazeballs, very Mexican looking, I think. Sometimes a spot of weekend solitude and socialising is great isnt it? X

Your garden is starting to look as bright as you hunnie and that mirror is super funky xx

Did you ever get your craft on! Soul-less ginger, LOL. Your kawaii phone is excellent, looks good enough to eat and exclaim over in high-pitched tones. And the mirror upcycle is the most cheerful Welcome sign I've seen. Glad you had a great weekend. You KMK leggings with your new Chucks, WOW.

Ha, I'm a faux ginger, does that mean I have no soul?! I like a good photo overload, especially when they are so colourful and inspiring!! Good to see you've been keeping up your end whilst i was gone! I adore all your craftiness, and am desperate to get my craft on, dammit.
I do love black kitties, but have never had one!The one sumptiously lounging on the pizza box makes me a happy girl.My two have been very cuddly since it got colder, which I enjoy.
Love you, sweet, bright Krista!

I'm a chemically enhanced ginger, another soulless madam! Loving all the pics, the mirror looks amazing, and I am very impressed with Essex girl Joan Dawson's creation.
Glad to hear you enjoyed getting down'n'dirty, Krista, and your garden is looking very lovely as a result! Fab leggings, always lovely to see Cristi, and a cat on a pizza box is a familiar sight in this house too!
What a very happy and successful weekend - well done you! xxx

Oh my god!! I don't know where to start! The mirror is just FANTASTIC! I love it. What paint did you use? Acrylics? It just looks brilliant, so vibrant and mad, but also super expensive. I love your kawaii phone case of course!! it's amazing, I love all the little kawaii cabochons. Oh and I really really love the fabric picture. Isn't it fantastic?! So much detail in there. You know me well, because I love it. The purple is a perfect choice! I keep having to look at it!
I love photo heavy posts, better than all talk, unless it's our lovely Luce Woman. The leggings are fantastic, do you keep spotting new faces in them? The pattern is chock full of different amazing pictures.

Of all your marvelous projects, the multi-colored painted frame is MOST marvelous.

I'm curious about the fabrics for the leggings--does your friend design the fabric too?

More is just better when it comes to visuals I think so no complaints here about all the lovely pics. Love the mirror so beautiful and very clever. Love love love the leggings too! And a black cat is always a winner. I have a black cat called batman - more Val Kilmer than Adam West - all muscle, brooding good looks and attitude
