Burn out but don't fade away

Summertime is rolling along and with my calendar quickly filling up into September I am trying not to see the end of all this glorious sunshine.  I checked on my MINI yesterday and it's finally on a boat on it's way to mama :)  I miss having a car!

Today I wanted to share some images with you that make me feel happy and think positive thoughts!
I think I could happily live out the rest of my days in a little piece of paradise like this.
I really need to get here one day, just cause!

Sometimes I think it would have been better to have been born an animal.  I quite fancy the idea of being an owl.
If the trees could talk think of the secrets they hold.
My kind of field:)
This is the face of freedom, this 10 year old Yemen girl was granted a divorce from her abusive husband.   ABUSIVE? Is there any other kind of man that would have no problem marrying a 10 year old girl?
Here is Peetee with his favorite girl Sunny who is 16, she was just diagnosed with cancer :(  We want to spend as much time with her as we can.  Life may be short but LOVE is endless.

Have a wonderful weekend my peeps!

So sorry to hear Sunny has cancer. Love her til you can't love her no more. Enjoy her and I'm sure she will be very thankful.

Wonderful post! I saved the first photo. If I ever come into money I would want something like that in my backyard.

O, poor darling Sunny! That's so bloody sad.
Such gorgeous pix, I really love that first one, how beautiful!
Owls are rather awesome, aren't they?! Fascinating creatures! I love them, and also otters and ducks and cats and lizards.
Ugh, can't think of anywhere more miserable for women then the Yemen....I suspect it's even worse than Afghanistan! That girl is gorgeous, but what hope in life does she have?! She'll just be beaten or killed for that divorce, or it will just happen again. O, that was rather negative of me, sorry!
YAY the mini is on it's way!WOOT! You're gonna have a blast introducing her to Portland!
Love you! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Darling! This is all so gorgeous. I want to dive into that pool NOW, it's so perfect. I love the little parrot - ooh and must show mum the photos of the Little Owls, she's obsessed with them. So many inspiring photos. The one of the girl from Yemen is so wonderful, I'm so pleased she's free! ooh and I want to walk in those pink fields. So sad that our canine friends don't live as long as us, it breaks my heart

Oh poor Sunny, and that poor Yemeni girl who was married when she should have been enjoying her childhood, how lucky we are.

Lot's of love and fuss for Sunny, I think. Our darling fur babies all break our hearts in the end, but we couldn't be without them. Xx

That first pic is so beautiful. I could live there too. I love a wooden house and a natural pool.

I had no idea that girls that young were being forced to marry, that is just so awful. I watched a video of an 11 year old who has just divorced her husband for unspeakable reasons, but the worst thing is her parents forced her into it, so she has been forced to divorce them too. She has been rescued by her uncle, but that in itself gives me concerns. Shouldn't happen to children.

Sunny looks so lovely, poor girl. That picture of the two of them looking up at you is adorable. xxxxxx

Lovely post, my darling.
I am always inspired by that picture of Najood Ali...what an incredible girl she is.

I know what you mean about hanging on to every last bit of the summer!
I'd love a walk in the Field of Pink with you and a gang of the girls.
Big hugs for Sunny. As you say, life is short fill it up and enjoy it.

Oh I read about Sunny and got all teary........poor puppy-dog she looks like such a kind old soul.
Love all the scenes of inspiration..........I think being a owl would be a hoot.....sorry I just had to say that...snigger.
If trees could talk, do you think they would tell us off......I am sure they would be very disappointed in us........
Happy days to you sweet....so happy the little purple dress has been loved.

Such an uplifting collection of images, Krista. Beautiful colours and creatures and faces and places.
The Yemeni girl's face is so beautiful, what a smile, love the freedom of the flowing scarf, a symbol (hopefully) of a brighter future.
I'm sure Sunny's remaining days will be full of love. Look at Peetee's serious little face, it's as though he knows...
Hope you are having a great weekend, darling! xxxx
