Clothes to make strangers smile

My plate is full and just like when I was 14 and sat at our family dinner table I like about 85% of what's on it.  I am also now wise enough to know that it's all good for me so eat up I must.  I took last Friday off from work to visit with my Dad and then to help Chris's Mom plan a memorial service for her sister and Dad (they both died about a month apart).  It was a special day from the lunch with my pops in his sunlite kitchen to an afternoon spent roaming the racks of a quant little vintage shop with Patrice. I bought two crazy good items that deserve their own post, so you'll have to wait, sorry dears.
I was so ridiculously cozy in this outfit and garnered my fair share of side eye.
One of my favorite pair of Kiss me Kitty leggings.
See how it all just goes together.
I ventured out in the forest too and saw something pretty cool, but you'll have to come back for that tale.
Right now I want to share with you my latest creation.  Meet the gang.
Most of what I use I already own.
Years of collecting toys and finally I'm playing with them!
She's quite the bad ass ain't she?
 Meet my zombie apocalypse.
Just cause the worlds ending doesn't mean you have to look like it :)

Crikey, that's a bit of a masterpiece! I'm not a doll, or toy person, but this is wild and rather funky!!!
As are you, in fact! Yes, this all goes together like cheese and chilli! YUM! Bloody old side eyes, huh?! Feck 'em, at least you're giving them something interesting to run those side eyes over!
Sometimes a full plate can be intimidating. Lucky you have a HUGE heart!
Ooo, could I possibly be FIRRRRST?!
Loving YOU! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Ooh, yes she is a bad ass, and she reminds me of you! Love your interpretation of the zombie apocalypse, and the wee dollies with their bottles of booze!
You're looking a complete doll yourself, in those brilliant KMK leggings. Yes, I agree - it all works perfectly! Especially your fabulous hair - plaits AND mermaid ringlets? I love it!
You do have a lot on your plate, Krista, but you are dealing with the 15% you don't like with real grace, kindness and optimism.
Vintage goodies? Cool sights in the woods? Can't wait! And hurray to plenty of side eye - shows you're doing something right!
Take care, darling, sending lots of love. xxxx

That is a masterpiece and I knew it would be as soon as you showed me those minuscule bottles of wine!
You look entirely fabulous, the colours and patterns look fabulous together? Why just wear one when you can wear them all? Life's too short for compromise!
I used to be an incredibly fussy eater until I left home and had to pay for food out of my own money only then did I learn not to be so wasteful.
Don't be such a tease, show us your shopping and what you found in the woods...
Love ya! xxxxxxx

OMG-I LOVE your new piece so much, makes me smile so big!!! So many interesting elements, I can imagine quite a fun story from it. I love that the girls have booze and cigs. Because when the zombie apocalypse comes that's what I would want, as cancer would then be the least of my worries!;)

And, that outfit is total Krista Rainbow Perfection...the side eyes only means that you got it right!!:)

NOw that's a Zombie Apocalypse I wouldn't mind being part of! The figure in pink and purple does look like you. I have the same littlest Pet Shop cow and used to use him in photos.

I like the life/dinner plate analogy!

Those KMK leggings are pretty amazing (well, all of her leggings are pretty amazing...)

your hair reminds me of a strand of DNA that's about to become something awesome. And your tights are very Lisa Frank and that makes me stupid happy.

Ooh I love that fab artwork - and it's awesome to finally use stuff you've been collecting. I've been collecting knobs that go to eleven for years (of course) and would love to come up with a cool way to display them.

That print mixing is awesome - LOVE the socks and leggings especially.

Hugs, Sarah xxx
