In my nothing you were everything to me

I don't think I have ever looked forward to the holidays more than this year.  I am taking all of next week off and instead of preparing Thanksgiving here at our home we are taking it on the road to my Dad's.
Since my birthday is about 2 weeks away I felt like I deserved this new print. I only own two Junko Mizuno prints and here it is all framed.  It's huge 2ft by 3ft hanging in my office.  I adore her!
I also had to share with you a story of cat mischief and not from Ash, but Zoe, the good cat.  She didn't come home for a night and we heard her meowing from the neighbors yard.  24 hours later after Chris had gone into their crawl space underneath their home in the mud but still no cat.  Then he heard her and looked up, she somehow managed to get into their attic.  Finally after all that she is home safe and sound :)
Had to share these sweet ceramic fish that now hang in my bathroom.
Chris had a whiskey tasting party with the guys and I made chili and got the heck outta dodge.
 Some of what they sampled.
I played with some new fabrics that Cristi has all cut and ready to sew for Crafty in december.

She treats me so good, look at what she made me.
mismatching nails
A bit of butterfly bling:)
A necklace I made with an old belt buckle.
This is a cool wood block print that I am going to hang in my office.
I know this was a random post and I will be quiet for a while as I enjoy my time off with myself and my family.  Today I want to give a big gigantic hug to Trent Reznor for his FaceTime call to a dying fan live on stage.

These lyrics from Twilight resonate with him and me too.

'As the time is running out / Let me take away your doubt / We can find a better place / In this twilight.'

Oh Krista. It's tough, I'm sure. But go, go and see your dad and spend important time with him.
Random is fine, life is pretty random, isn't it? You've shown us some great stuff - that chilli looks awesome (email me your recipe, I'm making the chilli for the school Xmas fair!) and I love your painting, and Cristi's fabrics and your new leggings. Butterfly bling, fab nails, wonderful necklace, and naughty but oh-so-beautiful Zoe - love love love!
Look after yourself, darling Krista. Thinking of you. xxxxx

I so hope you enjoy your time off prepping for Thanksgiving with your dad! Just stop and be in the now when you can. Because really and truly its all we have. Why worry about the future that may never be and the past that is already gone. Just be there, you know? If nothing else that kind of awareness makes for vivid memories.
Love all your color! The tights, the freakin amazing print (my gawd what an incredible artist!) some seriously mint chalkware fish and that rhinestone butterfly (what a stunner!)
Many hugs this thanksgiving. I can tell you one my biggest gratitude is to all you amazing Portlanders who have made us feel so welcome. Thank you!!:)

Zoe, being naughty? I can't believe it.
This Thanksgiving is going to be the most important so I'm glad you're taking a whole week off to prepare for it all.
That picture is gorgeous and the KMK leggings just get better and better. Your jewellery always blows me away, it's you in bead form, fabulous, gorgeous to look at, colourful and unique.
That chilli looks wonderful, I'll have a veggie version of that, ta! Glad Chris had a great lads' night in, hope his head wasn't too sore in the morning.
I'm being yelled at to help pack the van!
Love you and speak sooooooooon! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

That's a great idea to take Thanksgiving dinner on the road - you're giving your Dad the best gift you can - time spent with him!

Lots of covetable randomness here, most notably the Junko Mazuno print and the chalkware fishies! I love your taste in decorating. Mine is not as colourful as yours but I think we have similar sensibilities. The skull and flowers woodblock print would look damn fine in my kitchen ;)

I hope you have an enjoyable, and meaningful visit with your Dad, and have a very happy birthday, fellow Sagittarian!

You crowd so much love, warmth in talent in your tiny little frame. The art is magnif, as are your tasty ice creamed leggings. Perfect for you.

Wishing you a wonderful time, however bittersweet with your family. Enjoy your road trip and the journey. Hugs to you!
