Treasure what makes you different

Thanks for pushing through my last post I know it grossed some of you out and others, well you are just as sick as me :)  I am so behind in sharing goodies with you yes goodies, I have found some real gems lately.  Take this vintage babys quilt!
 Pretty cute huh.
I also found this puffy fabric print from Japan.
I just painted a canvas lime green and glued her on it, she looks good with my Keane and Pinky Toast prints.
Right next to Zoe's favorite perch.
 A cat's life.
I love this little sand sculpture wall hang thingy.  It's in my bathroom.
I also could not leave these teeny tiny paintings behind.

 Chris and I:)
My latest crafty creation.  That Tank Girl is my old phone case:)
I like each one a little more than the last.
The next one will have this!  I didn't make it though I bought it.  Winter always gets my creativity spinning out of control, I love it!
The weekend finished nicely with lunch out with Cristi and Gene and my honey.
These are Arepas, lil corn fritters stuffed with all kinds of good things!  I could eat one a day until I die.
The restaurant, TEOTE, was pretty gorgeous inside.
 This painting made the room!

 My peeps!

On our walk back after lunch we  saw these bunnies out getting some air.
I know I say it all the time, but I love Portland!  If you are looking for something to do this weekend and you are local come visit Cristi and I at the Kiss Me Kitty booth at the Siren Nation this Sunday.  GIRL POWER BABE!  It will be at the Kennedy School.

Great treasures, but the best one of all is your art piece! At first glance, I thought that big photo on the back was a weird mirror of the main doll piece. Very cool.
And I like how you transitioned from the butcher block to the food photos... Ha. Now I'm hungry, time to rustle up some grub here. Oh, and I think that restaurant would make cool loft.

Where do I start? Your creations just get better and better, I can't wait to see what you do with the butcher's block!
Loving the wall art and that amazing kid's quilt (far too good for a child!)
That food looks delicious and the company is just perfect. How cool is the bar and the rabbits outside (were they on the menu?)
Loving that sweet skirt you're wearing and cannot wait to catch up with you!
Love ya! xxxxx

The colours in the baby's quilt fit perfectly with the rest of your candy coloured world! I am a big tank girl fan and have a drawing of her on my living room wall. I can see that little butcher block being part of a creepy little holiday prep art piece!

Someday I've got to get to Portland. A friend of mine has spent a fair bit of time there and she loves it too!

I was trying to decide which I liked best, your art work, the children's quilt, your cat sat at the topmost point of that tower :) or that picture of you and Chris as the undead.

But it was too difficult a decision to make, so let's just say I love them all and I want to eat that food to toast my non-decision. xxxxxx

I think Peetee is after that gorgeous baby's quilt (look, you're on it wearing orange and turquoise and bunches!) Zoe looks happy on her very impressive Cat Tower; I'm not showing my lot, they'll be jealous (they only have the furniture to scratch and climb on...)
Love to see your creativity being unleashed, Krista, that little butcher's block will make a great addition to your next piece! Great skeleton wedding painting, and those wee pictures you found are so pretty.
Always fun to have some Food/Restaurant Porn! It looks a great place, and look, there's Chris, yay! It's good to love where you are. Say hi to Cristi for me, I was wearing my KMKs the other day and loving them all over again! xxxxx

Now I'm hungry after looking at that delicious food Krista, and I love all the artwork you're surrounded by and have created. The puffy picture fits in perfectly with the pictures around it, and I would have had to have those two tiny beautiful pictures too. Your shadow boxes just get better and better and that children's quilt was a real find, it seems so perfect for you. Love seeing hat's happening in your colourful world! xx
