Beautiful has never been my goal

I hope everyone who read my last post has decided to stop listening to that super critical voice in your head and create something! I know not all of us have this problem all of the time but I do think it is something each one of us can relate to.
I about died when I found this dress at the Goodwill for a fiver.
It's gonna be hard to let the rain get me down wearing this:)
 Ring I made.

and the best news is that I bought Cristi and I tickets to see Die Antwoord in May.
I plan on wearing something ghetto fabulous!  What was the last concert you went to? Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

this is sad, but the last concert I went to was in 2003! It was X, and it was in Jacksonville Fla. I live in the middle of nowhere and most of the bands that come near by are country.

The last gig I went to which wasn't Andy's band was probably The Rutles :)

I'm well and truly knackered today and seeing you pop up on my screen in all your psychedelic finery is a right tonic! You look bloody gorgeous.
Get you saying "a fiver", you've come over all British! Love the print on that cheeky dress, it reminds me of the art on my HedKandi CD covers, groovy!
Jealous of your gig tickets. My last one was some bloke from UB40 in Goa and before that it was 1970s glam rock band, Slade!
Love you. Speak soon? xxxxxxx

Going to the same concert! :D Can't wait!! Once upon a time I had to take art very seriously. It was my job, how I made money. It was awful, I got so burnt out. Now I just do my thing and who knows maybe someday I'll sculpt.....but now I wonder if I ever will. And if I don't who care's. I'll still create something, it just has to make me happy. Which probably make anyone else happy and thats ok.

That's the perfect Krista dress - orange and pink, a great print, and a fiver! It looks fabulous with the leggings and hoodie, I love it!
I saw Richard Thompson, Thea Gilmore and The Be Good Tanyas last year, oh and the wonderful Elvis Costello, of course, and in a couple of weeks I am going to see Lloyd Cole. Love seeing live music!
I am not so hot at anything arty-crafty, but I am really going to try and do some sewing this year. I keep putting it off (and yes, it's probably because of worrying that I'll screw it up...) Your ring is brilliant, you have a good eye for cool jewellery.
Have a great weekend, love! xxxx

You look fab and I agree about everybody chillin' out about inner negativity directed at themselves--ain't nobody got time for that!
Great thrift score and I can't wait to see your concert outfit.
I just went to see a David Bowie cover band tonight, Wham Bam Bowie Band, and they were really awesome :)

I think I'm going to die of envy with this news of the Die Antwoord concert!!! It was you who got me into them and now I'm completely addicted. Thank you so much for your kind words about using acrylics and giving painting a go, you're an inspiration to me. My god that dress was only five bucks? What the hell am I doing here? I love it with your gorgeous pink houndstooth leggings!! xoxoxo

I went to a Bad Religion concert a few years ago. I bought a T-shirt while i was there, size large and its so tiny. I was kind of mad. I would have loved to see Tool when they were in town tho. I can't wait to see what kind of ghetto outfit you come up with :)

Perfectly fabuolous, you are. Know excatly what your saying. I tend not to have a negative voice in my head these days...I certainly don't listen to it or anyone one elses's negativity.
Last gig was the Puppini Sisters...a contemporary Andrews Sisters if you like, properly kick ass and quirky. Their cover of Wuthering Heights is inspired.
Loves ya bits...especially that awesome dress.

Yes you have inspired me to be more crafty, it will probably involve a lot of glitter, but glitter is always good!! your fiver dress is awesome! gorgeous on you and it looks like it was made for you!
We saw The Primitives last year but one of my favourite ever bands were Bon Jov-ish (tribute), only time I have ever seen a singer wrestle a door onstage to exit, fabulous! x x x

We're going to see Brody Dalle/Nine Inch Nails/Queens of the Stone Age this coming Saturday!!!! We so rarely get big concerts in Christchurch, so the whole city is buzzing! No idea what to wear....
That frock is amazing, and what a great score!!! Who doesn't love a vibrant frock for a fiver?!
We've had rain over the weekend too. Bleurgh. Good for snuggling up and watching movies, though. Not good when a wet cat gets into bed at 4 in the morning, however!!!
O, I need to constantly remind myself not to listen to that crappy voice!!!

That is the coolest $5 dress I've ever seen, and has your name written all over it (figuratively, of course...).

The last concert I went to was in December 2012 when I saw Leonard Cohen here in London. It was an amazing show!
