What's inspiring me lately

I'm obsessed with all things embroidered now.  From traditional Hungarian vests to Hmong hats, I want to incorporate them all into my wardrobe.

Which all leads up to Susanne Bisovsky an incredible designer living in Austria.

I am working on an outfit inspired by all of these images, I feel something  special happening in my closet!

I enjoyed collecting embroidered patches from Thailand when we had an import shop in the early 90's in downtown Portland. I love those photos you have shown. I have some pretty Hilltribe items from our travels and some beautiful textiles from SE Asia you should see. You just need to come over, that is all there is to it. PS Here is my email. annedleb@yahoo.com xoxo Anne.

What a glorious mood board Krista, I love to see what other people are thinking about and inspired by. I've been thinking African for a good long while ... I need to find some beautiful fabrics to play with. Imagine actually making some of the amazing tapestry pieces shown here!! xoxoxox

The headgear in the ethnic costume photos is museum worthy. Are you going to adopt hats?!

Wow, there are some really stunning images here. Do you know Olga's blog, Local Fashion? She writes very knowledgeably about various ethnic clothing traditions, and has lots of fabulous photos.
Can't WAIT to see what you come up with, inspired by these wonderful clothes and colours! xxxx

I tried to comment yesterday but the images were far too fabulous for my PC and the bastard thing crashed leaving me with the white screen of doom. Its 6.30am and I'm borrowing Jon's laptop while he's still sleeping!
Dying to see your finished creation, I know its gonna blow all those amazing images out of the water!
Speak next week - if I have the technology!
Love you! xxxxxxxxxxxx

These are all your colours Krista. I could see you wearing all of Bisovsky's dresses. I can't wait to see what you create with this as an inspiration.
