Your attitude determines your altitude!

I'm happy to report the house sale is complete, I didn't want to jinx it by thinking it was done until it really was.  I thought the occasion called for yellow.  I rarely wear yellow and only own a few dresses  in this color but this gauzy cotton is perfect for the heat we are still having.
Yup it was 90 at 6pm, but in a month it will be raining so I am trying to enjoy every last bit sunshine.
Part of enjoying the weather is to get some chores done outside.  I just power washed the old paint and mold off this so I can paint it white.
I also want to add some hand painted flowers, inspired by this recent thrift score when I'm done.  It's made in Germany.
I am trying to wear all my dresses that will be soon be packed up for the season.
My Indian bag is from Vix:)
She's got such great taste.
My sis gave me the spiked bracelet so it will always remind me of her visit.
I prefer silver but I can dig a lil gold.
I always get excited about movies this time of year since Halloween always bring about some I want to see.  This is top on my list.

The art is Mexican so color, pattern and textures abound!

I could live in this film.
It's a three day weekend, four day for me and I am looking forward to a few things that make my summer memorable.  First is listening to and watching the bats fly around my house at dusk. It is spectacular and they come every year about this time. I also plan on barbecuing starting tonight with top sirloin and corn on the cob!
You guys have to try these delicious grilled cheese sandwiches.  I used multigrain bread with white cheddar cheese and layers of any apple of your choice sliced thin.  My new favorite fast food.

Enjoy the weekend!

Congrats, darling. That's good news. Yes , you could live in that glorious film. Gorgeous as ever.
I know what you mean about squashing the last bits of summer out. We've had the sun back again for a bit before autumn comes. It's been fab this year again.
I'm going to try that sarnie for sure.
Big hugs.

I've only recently discovered grilled cheese sandwiches and they are my latest food addiction. Snap. OK I need to live in that movie too - I know exactly what you mean. Isn't it beautiful? No doubt Bella and I will be making a beeline for The Book of Life when it arrives here. You are so talented Krista, I'm really looking forward to watching your outdoor seat evolve in a beautiful piece that's been Krista-fied. Your head gear with the tassels is insanely beautiful! Make the most of those beautiful days and show us more of those amazing summer outfits! xoxoxoxo

Do hurry up and apply the rosemaling to that charming garden seat -- so that we can see you relaxing in it wearing something gauzy and pretty, like that yellow dress, before winter arrives.

Very glad the house closing went through! Now you can focus on bright lights on your horizon, such as The Book of Life. That appears to be the sort of film one must watch many times!

So happy that the house is sold and you can get on with life without it hanging around like a millstone around your neck!
Insanely jealous of your heat although I'm still in sleeveless maxis and sandals and freezing my tits off!
Love the bangle sis bought you and that gorgeous gauzy frock. The pergola looks like something from a fairy tale and the cabinet is adorable.
Love you and speak soon! xxxxxxx

Woohoo! Congratulations, that's great news. Definitely calls for yellow, the colour of happiness and hope. Love the look of that film (in fact I'm going to look out for it when it comes over here) and the new German cupboard and the cheese sandwiches. Love it all! Xxxx

Yay, so glad the house sale closed - I bet you are sooo relieved to have that off your plate.

The pale yellow of that dress looks so pretty with your hot pink hair. I don't own anything yellow - I like the colour to look at, but not to wear.

I had not heard that movie was coming out, but I will definitely be putting The Book of Life on my list of must see's - I love all the Day of the Dead stuff.

I missed your colorful blog! As always, it brought a smile to my face. :) Lovely yellow dress! I am a bit fed up with my own summer fashion at the moment, though you have a fine point - rain season will come, and we better enjoy the last days of summer while we can. :)

I adore your pergola the way it is - I have a weak spot for old rusty stuff. But I know your colorful painting will transform it into something amazingly creative and beautiful in its own way!

So glad that you got to spend time with your sister, and that the house is sold. I am hanging "in between" and know how uneasy such periods of life are. Everything will be a little easier for you now, dear Krista.

Lots of love to you, sweet girl. xxx

I'm feeling a bit jealous over that awesome weather you're expecting over there. Can't wait to see what that outside seat thing is going to look like when you get done with it! And I'm so behind on new movies - I've never heard of that one but it looks amazing!

I can't wait to see that movie too! Must be by the same creators and illustrators of Night Before Christmas, one of my all time favourites.

Love the yellow dress.

Congrats on the house sale! One less thing to worry about.

Congrats on the finalizing of the house sale! Such a relief, I'm sure. I like how you're enjoying the ending of summer. We've had such a mild summer here in Chicago which is unusual. Only now are we getting some real humid days. That pale yellow frock is almost a shock to see you in, but it really does showcase your perfect pink hair. I'm trying to think if I have anything yellow...hmmm. Not off hand. I do have to try those grilled cheese sandwiches with apples. Sounds delish.

You should wear yellow more often, you look gorgeous on that sweet frock! And the gold sandals and jewellery set it off a treat.
Good news about the house sale, what a relief. Yes, make the. Out of the remaining warmth and sunshine, there's a long winter coming... Love that pretty painted cabinet, and looking forward to seeing how you are inspired to decorate your wooden bench. Knowing you and your mad creative skills, it's going to look beautiful!
Oh yes, that film looks right up your alley. And now I want a cheese and apple toastie for my breakfast! xxx
